- Overcoming emotional eating starts with recognising the triggers so you can become prepared to address the problem.
- Until you make that connection between the feelings or triggers, you can’t move forward strategically on changing your habits, or stopping the the vicious cycle of guilt, frustration with yourself and then repeating the emotional eating.
- Your thoughts create your feelings, which create your actions. This is the central reason as to why when you have certain thoughts which are repeated every week, sometimes every day, and the same action is the result – emotional eating.
So many well-intentioned health-seekers miss this and that’s why they get stuck. There’s a better way to address these triggers so your feelings and emotions can be reacted to differently, without turning to food.
